Chapter 4 – Human

The concept of human

What is actually a human?

This is a really interesting question that allows several meanings, which is something we do not realise when we use the word.

It is difficult to define and It has changed throughout history, and will likely change again.

Unlike many other concepts in this book, the negative definition is more difficult—determining what human still is, or rather, what human no longer is.

Science has not been able yet to precisely determine whether a concrete case in the evolutionary ladder is not yet human or is no longer human.

On the opposite end are the beings on a higher evolutionary level that will also complicate drawing a precise line on where these creatures are still human.

Creatures evolving parallel to us present another problem. How many differentiators determine that something is no longer human, and which are they? And by differentiator I do not mean whether it is an earthling or an extraterrestrial being.

From a higher level of truth, there is no being that could be called earthling. We are all extraterrestrials who go through many incarnations, in many different planets.

For the purpose of this chapter, I use the word “human” in its simplified sense, as the incarnation of the Being in the body the homo-sapiens of this planet. We must bear in mind, however, that a human is a part of the multi-dimensional Being, which is simultaneously contained in many incarnations and higher forms of consciousness, since past, present and future exist at the same time. This is why only a part of the Being is incarnated in a human.

The energy-information nature of the human

A human is one of the forms of the Being with an energy-information nature. It is very important to be fully and constantly aware of this fact in order to understanding inter-human relations and the motivations of individual actions.

Everything in the human world, without exception, can be reduced to a struggle or a cooperation to obtain energy or information. Money, power, fame and love all are but different energies or forms thereof.

Note, for instance, that in sports at all levels, the winner is usually full of energy while the looser mostly lacks it. When you think in more detail, and from this energy perspective, about the individual behaviours of people (as well as animals and plants), you might realise why people behave the way they do and help them on the basis of this understanding.

For a long time, people were divided in four types. Let us look at this division from a new angle: energy.

The choleric: tries to grab energy, plucking it from others

The melancholic: wants others to give him energy voluntarily

The phlegmatic: does not resist the drawing of their energy

The sanguine: gives away energy

This interpretation helps understand how the different types can coexist, and also how to cure those that can make coexistence very unpleasant. Advices like “stop screaming” or “stop crying” have no chance of success. If someone is lacking energy and are not aware that they could obtain it right from the source, they will get it from anywhere and in any way (it is energy, after all, the source of life) and more often than not from their close ones.

It’s curious that our western civilisation does not teach one of the most basic things such as how to get energy straight from the main source.

New possibilities of treatment could be found even for cases of hysteria. A leading Czech psychiatrist (a relationship expert) offers two alternatives to those who have a hysterical woman: divorce or treatment. Based on my own experience, I believe he is more or less right. Unfortunately, I am afraid that treating hysteria with “pill” Psychiatry does not have much of a chance. I would really like to know if this Czech psychiatrist has any experience with successfully treating a hysterical woman (or man, because they can also suffer this condition). I believe that the best way to treat hysteria is the long and arduous school of obtaining energy from one’s own sources. With regards to obtaining energy, a hysteric is a curious combination between a melancholic and a choleric, even if his or her verbal expressions are considered the classic symptoms.

The motivation (by the most part unconscious and, karmically speaking, more favourable) of the leaders of social groups, sects, self-proclaimed gurus, etc. is by no means only to obtain the energy of money or power. All the energy these leaders constantly send (and again, mostly unconsciously) to their followers can hardly be obtained in any other way. It is very similar with fame. It is hard for some people to come to terms with the loss of fame, and the loss of the energy sent by their admirers. This can better explain many a tragic end of a former celebrity. What is important is energy self-sufficiency. It is probably the melancholics that have the most trouble coping with such situations because, unlike the choleric, they are unable to grab that energy.

The Cosmic Game

We must always that, also on the level of truth “Human – Space and Time”, everything is an illusion.

This, however, does not mean that we should not take our lives as reality because, even if it is a virtual reality, it is nonetheless a reality as no other reality than the virtual reality does exist.

For this reason, I find the term virtual reality to be more adequate than illusion because it is closer to actuality.

The Cosmic Game is an adequate denominator of some aspects of reality used by Satnislav Grof. It is a concept that, in its own way, aptly expresses what takes place here.

As every other game, the Cosmic Game has its own set of rules and breaking them (non-compliance, disregard, non-understanding) carries consequences.

Unlike sports, where compliance is assessed by a fallible—sometimes willingly so—person, the violation of the rules in the Cosmic Game is always followed by certain consequences, a principle usually referred to as karma. A more precise description would be that, according to the rules of the Cosmic Game, a given behaviour has a specific consequence.

Although this question is addressed in detail in Chapter 6, I think it is appropriate to stress this fact, so it will be well understood: even if everything is just an illusion (a virtual reality, the Cosmic Game), we are still an integral part thereof and its laws apply to us, whether we are aware of them or not.

Another question is whether we can live our lives with the knowledge that they are an illusion (virtual reality) while remaining adequately detached from it. It is not easy.

The program is called, the incarnation applies. Pain, joy, sorrow, and pleasure await us. All are part of the Cosmic Game called the World, which the great programmer has programmed for us—and himself—and we cannot simply say that we are not having fun and quit it.

The only thing we can do is to understand that we are only a part of a infinitely massive Cosmic Game and adjust our relationship with it according to what is happening and how we are playing our part.

For this purpose, I would use a different example than the theatre play or computer game. I think tennis is appropriate.

A tennis player wants to win and lives an emotional match, but they remain aware that it is only a tennis match, that nothing will happen if they lose (with the exception of a professional player) and that the essence of life is somewhere else. Even in the most extreme situations of the match, the players will have that in the back of their minds.

If we were able to adopt a similar approach to life—remaining aware in the back of our minds of its nature—our civilisation would change beyond recognition; whether for the better, would again be a matter of perspective, to some extent. I deeply hope that most people would see it as a change for the better.

We can understand that, at our level, we are also programmers and that we can partially affect this program; of course, under the supervision of the Big Programmer—the World Mind. But it’s not at all simple. We may tell ourselves a hundred times that it is only an illusion, but the moment that the World Mind projects some sorrow into our consciousness (or us, more precisely, as we are nothing but consciousness – mind), we will need to be very high up the spiritual development ladder to cope with it detachedly and harmonically.

The brain as a tuner

The brain works like a tuner in relation to the consciousness. When it is turned down during sleep, deep meditative states, unconsciousness or even clinical death, the consciousness stops receiving input for the real world and starts working on its own.

The flow of information from higher levels is normally blocked by the information flowing from the real world, and this flow is mediated by our senses. That is not the case in the above mentioned states, and the consciousness sort of connects to those higher levels. Actually, it is always connected, but we are not aware of it.

It is similar to when you are standing in the middle of a bustling street and you are not able to hear your heartbeat or even your breathing, but if you enter a fully soundproofed room, you will hear your breathing to the point that it will bother you, likewise with your heartbeat.

When the tuner is turned down or disconnected, our consciousness reaches altered states, which means states connected to other flows of information or, in other words, there is a shift in the concentration of consciousness to another level (the consciousness tunes to another channel of the World Mind broadcasting a different programme). These states are called, for example, astral travel, lucid dreaming, out of body, archetypal or regressive experiences, samadhi, etc.

It should be noted, however, that this is the fourth level of truth, “Human – Space and Time”. From a higher level of truth, the real world is only an illusion, a projection of the World Mind into our minds. Thus, from that perspective, even our brain as a receiver is nothing but a creation of the World Mind being projected into our minds. Furthermore, from a higher level of truth, the minds are not just passive receivers, but they also take part in the creation of the broadcast.

The projection of the World Mind into each mind can be pictured as a TV broadcast (of not only image and sound, but all perceptions). One of the programs broadcast through one channel to all minds (meaning all minds in a given group; for instance, all the incarnations of the Being in our Universe) is the same (e.g., the programme of our Universe), and this main program has an enormous number of sub-programs for each being perceiving the main program from their much narrower perspective. This sub-programme broadcast into our consciousness creates our image of our body and senses, with which we receive it, generating the illusion of our selves.

The World Mind broadcasts its programs to all consciousnesses in many channels (likely, an infinite number). One of those channels is the material Universe of our time coordinates. Other channels broadcast parallel universes, our universe in different time coordinates, the astral world, multi-dimensional universes, etc.

Under certain circumstances, every consciousness is able to receive any program. It “only” needs to properly attune the receiver (to transfer the concentration of consciousness). By far the strongest channel for human beings is the one broadcasting the programme of our Universe and therefore the minds receive mostly information from that channel.

When the main program weakens (for instance during meditation, regression therapy, holotropic breath work, psychotropic substances and other altered states of consciousness, or clinical death), other channels come forward and the consciousness retunes automatically. Generally, it will retune to the next strongest channel (for instance the astral world during sleep or another time coordinate of our Universe).

In conscious and trained retuning (transferring the concentration of consciousness), or through the use of strong means, it is possible to reach even weaker channels broadcasting to higher universes.

The broadcast frequency of the World Mind

The terms stronger and weaker channels are used to create a simple image. A more appropriate description for a stronger channel is one broadcasting at a frequency closer to the frequency of the consciousness of a given person, while the weaker channel is one broadcasting in a frequency further from that person.

The consciousness of each being always works in a specific frequency. Faster vibrations are called higher or softer, and slower ones are called lower or coarser. The consciousness of each person has a specific frequency determined mainly by the evolutionary level of the being incarnated in that person, but also by a momentary situation and the state of mind of that person.

When retuning, the easiest is to do it to the channel broadcasting in the frequency closest to the one the consciousness is at that moment. That is why it is easier for a person on a higher evolutionary level to retune to higher, softer worlds, than for one on a lower level.

This property of consciousness could be used to measure the evolutionary level of a human being. Well known, but secret technologies or technologies currently in development beyond military research (see the end of this chapter) can “switch off” the reception of the material Universe program and find out what program a person’s consciousness connects to.

What would be the possibilities of a society that chose its leaders according to their development level? But I am not so idealistic as to ignore how the selection of this “Council of Sages” could be manipulated.

Tuning to more distant frequencies requires more effort (for instance, many years of work) or stronger means.

Some people describe the process before consciously leaving the body as a focus on increasing the vibrations of consciousness.

However, this does not always means tuning to a higher frequency. Everybody remembers some of their heavy dreams, or the descriptions of experiences with psychotropic substances, regression therapy, holotropic breath work, etc. Tuning to a lower, coarser frequency is very common.

The coarser energy a person is tuned to, surrounded by or absorbs, the higher the chance to tune to a world with lower vibrations.

The work on spiritual development is sometimes described also as the work of refining vibrations. However, it is good to have a comprehensive approach involving all elements.

If we want to refine our vibrations, we should—if possible—be in an environment without coarse energies, be with people and eat food with fine vibrations, avoid negative thoughts with coarse vibrations; refine our vibrations with meditation and adequate education (knowledge).

If a human being is able to tune to the Superego on a higher universe without practising, it is very likely that they’ve carried this ability from a previous life.

The moment of divine grace when the World Mind stops broadcasting any program to a being’s mind, and that being finds itself in the state of the Absolute God, the Absolute State, is the moment when that being has reached its pre-basic state.

The electromagnetic activity of the brain

When the thought process is stopped, the activity of the brain is very similar to sleep. Trying deep meditation very often leads to a transition to sleep, and very quickly to the REM phase.

The activity of the brain is manifested electromagnetically.  with mild currents channelling the exchange of information between the neurons.

Deep meditation results in an interruption of the thought process and often in a connection with the Superego, the essential part of the multi-dimensional Being. Similar results are achieved with psychotropic substances and nowadays also with special medical devices that send mild magnetic impulses to the brain, disrupting the electric activity between neurons. This has the same effect as deep meditation, where the thought process is interrupted and the resulting empty thoughts are filled by the void of the Absolute (a state of flash enlightenment) or by images of the World Mind. The consciousness is tuned to other programs of the World Mind.

In this states of consciousness, a person can experience a state of leaving the body, regressive memories, archetypal experiences or experiences connected with the Cosmic Consciousness and the Absolute.

These devices are already being used to treat serious depression and mental illness with very good results. It is my opinion that, after extensive medical research, it will be possible to use them to treat not only mental conditions, but physical ones, too.

And they could play a key role in the treatment of drug addictions (including alcohol and nicotine) and in reforming seemingly incorrigible criminals. The connection with a higher state of consciousness (e.g., NDE—near death experience) has managed to completely change the lives and the values of many people.

The components of the human

According to most sources, human beings consist of three basic components: body, soul and mind. Obviously, considering it from the fourth level of truth, “Human – Space and Time”. From different levels, a human actually manifests as the soul (the mind).

All three, though, are just the different forms of the same essence; or rather, the different manifestations of the same essence.

While determining what the body is doesn’t pose any particular problems, the other two components are far more complicated. Even the body—or more precisely, one of its parts, the brain—has its internal boundaries that admit two interpretations. Determining what is still part of the body and what is already part of the soul is in those cases problematic, too.

The main problem begins when trying to define the other two components, in particular their mutual limits. But I will try.

In this sense, the mind could be identified simply with the Being, or rather, a part thereof, the Superego—the part closest to God, which provides the connection to God. What is most important in this case, however, is that this component is immutable, it does not develop, it is the same for all incarnations.

From this perspective, the soul could be distinguished from the mind as the part of the Being that evolves during the reincarnation process, meaning that in each incarnation, its properties will be at least partly different.

The mind corresponds to the second level of truth, the soul to the third and the body to the fourth.

The pursuit of a comprehensive development requires all those three aspects be addressed.

Mind: meditation, contemplation, connection with the Superego, the highest knowledge.

Soul: observance of ethical and aesthetic standards, control of emotions, cognition, personality improvement.

Body: health care, healthy lifestyle, satisfaction of needs in accordance with the interests of others.

All these components are mutually conditional as they constitute a whole and therefore not a single one of them should be neglected. The popular saying “in a healthy body, a healthy mind” should be understood both ways. Neglecting one of the components will have a negative effect on the other two.

In terms of energy, the process of spiritual development is often characterised by a refinement of the vibrations or an increase in their frequency. The information-energy essence of a human vibrates on a given frequency, which increases when reaching a higher level (the vibrations refine).

This proves why it is good to simultaneously look after all three components. This applies, for instance, when I take food with coarser vibrations (meats, in particular mammals) after having refined my vibrations with meditation. This applies, for instance, when I follow a vegetarian or macrobiotic diet, but I am not able to control my emotions and hurt others, or if I dogmatically and hatefully condemn people with other dietary habits or religious beliefs.

The quality (the frequency) of the vibrations of each being also corresponds to the aura. The higher the vibrations, the higher the colour of the aura will be in the chromatic scale (determined by the frequency electromagnetic waves). In addition to colours of a more permanent nature, there are states of the aura that reflect momentary emotional tunings, but also the food taken or the effects of the auras of other people.

Psychics claim that there are beings without aura. I have read about this in relation to some types of extraterrestrials, for example. The absence of aura may indicate that they were robots.

But I believe that this is not the absence of aura as such, but the absence of an aura in our visible (or rather, perceptible) spectrum, meaning that they are beings with infrared or ultraviolet auras.

I share the opinion that everything has an aura, even inanimate objects, as everything is a form of the Being. Everything has a certain vibration and therefore aura, too. Another question is the possibility of perceiving that aura with regard to the frequency of vibration.

Intellect and intelligence

These are terms that are also very commonly used without their definition always being given because it is expected to be common knowledge, which often results in their being used in the same meaning, or interchangeably, or very imprecisely.

One of the many attempts to define them refers to intellect as the body of knowledge and experience acquired during life, while intelligence is defined as the ability to respond to or solve novel situations.

These definitions are close to my feelings, but I believe they need to be specified with regards to this book.

I would define intellect as the body of knowledge and experience and the ability to use it with logical thinking.

The level of intellect (IKQ, intellectual quotient) is determined, on the one hand, by the quantity and the quality of the information obtained during life and the measure of the ability to remember it, or rather, to use it at the right moment.

On the other hand, it is determined by the degree of ability of logical thinking with regards to the use of that information in a specific case.

Both are necessary. What is the point of a lot of information without the ability to use it? What the point of logical thinking if it has nothing to work with? The computer serves again as an example. On the one hand, a computer with a big hard drive, but little RAM and a processor with little power; and on the other, a powerful processor with a small hard drive.

If the former is significantly superior than the latter, we get the image of the intellectual as is often used pejoratively. I have once read a funny definition of such person: “an intellectual is someone who says more words than necessary and more than they know”.

While obtaining information depends mainly on the desire for knowledge, and the amount of information can easily affect the will, the ability of logical thinking depends on genetics, even if it can be developed with exercise.

I would define intelligence as the ability of logical thinking and intuition. I would say it is a more accurate than intelligence being the ability to solve novel situations.

The level of intelligence (IQ, intelligence quotient) is determined degree of logical thinking (LGQ, logical quotient) and the level of intuition (IUQ, intuition quotient).

Enriching logical thinking with intuition is very important in my opinion. In the case of computer, it is something lacking and therefore it would be more adequate to speak about artificial intellect than artificial intelligence.

All the great discoveries, inventions and works of art were possible thanks to intuition.

Intelligence is mostly innate, even if logical thinking and intuition are abilities that can be purposefully developed.

The intellect of a child and an adult are not comparable, but the intelligence is.

Children are good at brainstorming (spontaneous discussions with the purpose of finding new ideas). Children’s intuition works better by the most part because the channel where information flows is not yet clogged, as with most adults. Moreover, they are not affected or limited by the knowledge of past solutions.

Both intelligence and intellect are essential factors. Nothing new could be created without the former, and without the latter, it would not be possible to communicate apply or formulate the new. The biggest problem for many thinkers was how to communicate their new findings or how to formulate them with concepts already in use.

Both intellect and intelligence have components of logical thinking. The subtle difference is that, in the intellect, logical thinking is used to apply knowledge, while in intelligence, to create new knowledge for a given subject from facts that are already known about it.

Let us use a common phenomenon like the sunset as an example.

The sun is observed already low in the horizon at a given time interval; higher at the beginning, lower at the end.

The intellect works as follows: it assesses to consecutive positions of the sun, determining that it’s going down in the horizon and, on the basis of past experience with this phenomenon, concludes that it will be dark, because that has always been the case.

Without experience with this phenomenon, the intelligence works a bit differently. Like the intellect, it assesses two consecutive positions of the sun, determining that it is going down in the horizon, but it still needs to asses that the sun is a source of light and that if it goes below the horizon, that light will no longer shine on the landscape and will be followed by darkness.

In addition, intelligence could conclude that the sun orbits the Earth and, if intuition is called, also that the Sun is fixed while the Earth rotates.

An experience I have once had could be an interesting example of a conflict between a higher LGQ and a higher IQ.

Two men were playing chess, One of them had a lower IQ, but a higher chess intellect (he was a member of a chess club and had played many games, he knew chess theory very well and knew the beginning of a chess game up to ten moves in advance). The other evidently had a higher IQ, but lower chess intellect (it could be said that he did not know chess theory, even if he played it relatively well).

The course of almost every game was more or less the same: at the beginning, the first player had a significant advantage because he could apply his knowledge. In the middle, the game evened out and by the end, with situations that chess theory could not predict, the second player gained the upper hand and ultimately won.

Someone who uses only logical thinking and not intuition is limiting the information they can receive from other minds (telepathy) and higher sources (channelling).

In order to reach the highest knowledge, one must use both intellect and intelligence. Without intuition it is impossible to reach the transcendent.

However, logical thinking is essential for a critical assessment of the information provided by intuition. It is incorrect to dismiss logical thinking as an obstacle to intuitive knowledge. To intuitively know any thought, one must quiet down and stop for some time. One of the problems of science is that it often considers using the intellect as the only scientific method, even though it is known that intuition largely contributed to many scientific discoveries.

Nowadays, many tests are used to determine the level of intelligence, the IQ, but they have many weaknesses. Firstly, they are mostly aimed at a certain type of intelligence, especially, geometric. Secondly, knowledge and experience—the IQ—are not sufficiently filtered (after many similar tests, the solution to the different questions can be based on experience), and thirdly, they hardly ever determine the level of intuition. Therefore, the results obtained are a more or less inaccurate picture of the real ability of a given person.

Intuition and creativity are essential parts of many types of human activities.

The introduction of three tests would be a better way to more accurately assess a person: an IKQ test, and LGQ test, and IUQ one. The resulting IQ could be described with this simple equation: IQ = LGQ + IUQ – IKQ.

Ego and egoism

The ego is mentioned in many books dealing with spiritual development, in most cases, as something negative that needs to be got rid of, crucified or at least silenced or suppressed. Few, however, attempt to define what the ego is and what it is that we actually must get rid of. I am aware that it is difficult to define, especially with regards to concepts like soul, consciousness and spirit.

The ego is self-awareness, the awareness of self as a separate entity, as a being, self-awareness as one of the forms of the Being.

In the case that interests us the most, the human, it is self-awareness as a human being, as a unique individual, different from any other in the Universe.

It consists mainly of memories, desires, wishes, emotions, and the relations to the past and the future. The ego is made of the relationship of the incarnated soul with everything that is “non-self”. It comes to be gradually, in the time between conception and birth, and it ceases to be upon a new incarnation.

From a slightly different perspective, the ego is nothing but the consciousness of a given character in the cosmic game, with all its properties, past, present and potential future and, if it was got rid of, the character, and the game, would disappear. The only thing remaining would be the basic consciousness of the Being, yin and yang.

Assuming such interpretation, the ego cannot be limited only to human beings. Regression therapy has provided a lot of information that even lower forms of the Being have an awareness of the “self”. I am convinced that most people who are companions (and I stress companions, not owners) of domestic animals like dogs, cats and horses have no doubts about it. Many people have a similar approach also to trees, bushes and plants.

Now that I have introduced this definition of ego, I will try to explain that thing about its crucifixion, death or dissolution.

As the aforementioned conception of ego implies, this is basically impossible. The ego is an integral part of a incarnation (transformation, explained in Chapter 6 , in “The Concept of Reincarnation”) and creates an immutable personality.

Even in states of deep sleep, unconsciousness, clinical death—even after death—the mind works, it is conscious, self-aware. Not even after death does it get rid of the memories from the previous life—or the desires or wishes—though they mostly change to some extent. You cannot get rid of the ego; you can’t get rid of yourself.

It is the role we have come to play and we can’t cast it away. What we can get rid of is egoism, which is nothing but the identification with this role, a certain kind of addiction to it.

And, once again, in order to get rid of it, we must understand what egoism essentially is. It cannot be reduced only to the satisfaction of our own needs regardless of the interests of others, or the apparent condition (feeling) of separation of one’s ego from others. Egoism is a state of apparent separation from God.

The ego must cast away egoism. It must get rid of the feeling that the non-self is separate from the self. It must understand that the I is part of the non-self. And not only understand it, but also live it.

In order to achieve this, one has to take a look at the fundamental mistake of identifying the self with the body and the ego. The real essence of the self is the Being, more precisely, its Superego part.

Human egocentrism

The human egocentrism of modern civilisation is a particular phenomenon and egoism is one of its sources. Our western civilisation and culture has always had this tendency of regarding itself as the centre in all aspects. The centre of the Universe, of time, of the development of civilisation, of the development of the human as the Being, which can be found even in esoteric doctrines. Unfortunately, this often results in a sense of exceptionalism and exclusivity of the human and western civilisation.

When examining these questions, I created a working hypothesis that this illusion may arise from a consciously or subconsciously perceived fact.

Whether we speak about space or time, it could be said that all directions are infinite from us (time also has more than two directions, if we admit multiple dimensions, see Chapter 6), and then we subconsciously arrive to the conclusion that, if there is infinite in one direction and likewise in another, both ends are at the same distance and therefore we are in the middle.

This particular illusion is supported by the impression that the infinite does not look infinite at first sight. When I look in one direction, either of space or time, I see a horizon, even if it is a very distant one.

Lucid dreaming, OBEs

Lucid dreaming, or waking dream, is not the same as an out-of-body experience (OBE). In lucid dreaming (also called astral travel), the consciousness of a person reaches the astral world—even higher worlds, in exceptional cases—whereas in a OBE, it moves in our material and so-called real world. What both have in common is that the soul leaves the body. This division is only a matter of definition of concepts, and both can be understood differently.

A more precise description, however, would be a shift of the concentration of consciousness outside of the body (or rather, outside of the consciousness of body), because the body does not exist and therefore the soul cannot leave it. Everything is nothing but Consciousness.

Therefore, this division is not completely dogmatic, as for developed beings, or in extraordinary states like NDE (near death experience) or under the influence of strong psychotropic substances (ayahuasca, ibogaine, etc.), it is possible to move between those states of consciousness— meaning between the astral and the physical worlds.

In human history, everything without exception has always been abused, mostly to obtain power or money, even exalted ideas like faith in god, love for god, love in general; even maternal love; everything has been abused.

From this perspective, we must also approach the means used to reach states of expanded or altered consciousness. They are also misused for purposes totally different from the originally intended. However, this should not be a reason to condemn them a priori. One must always assess what the goal they should serve as the means is, and whether their use is a means or an end in itself.

Only one thing can justify their use, the spiritual development of a person, which is the purpose they were originally given to mankind.

In order to avoid misunderstandings, the means to reach altered or expanded states of consciousness are in no way limited to psychotropic substances or drugs, including alcohol.

Regression therapy

A properly conducted regression therapy (the remembrance of past lives, or rather, the transfer of the concentration of consciousness to past lives—other phases of development of the Being) should not result in a change of the past as someone may imagine it, but in a change of the attitude of the being towards that past.

I deliberately use being and not human, because an incarnation may not always be in a human.

Since past and present exist simultaneously and are one and the same Being, the attitude of the being towards the past changes also in the past (which for that incarnation is obviously the present) and not only in the imagination of the current incarnation, human.

In my opinion, regression therapy should focus on changing the attitude of the being towards that situation in the past related to the problems in the present.

I remark that it should be about a change in the attitude of that being living the past. For that purpose, it is often necessary to understand why that situation occurred, which usually also means to go back during therapy to the period that preceded it (usually, a past life).

When people fully understand what the real cause of most unpleasant situations is, they are able to change their relationship with them better and more easily. This opinion is based on the presumption of the therapeutic effects of regression therapy and how they are achieved.

The therapeutic effects of regression therapy are manifested in a change of the attitude of the part of the Being incarnated in the past. Since everything happens simultaneously, according to the model of existence, the part of the being incarnated in the present also changes (see. Fig. 17 in Chap. 7).

For a better understanding, it should again be noted that nothing but Consciousness exists; therefore it is understandable that a change in the attitude of a being towards “reality” will be a change of reality. For a better understanding, I will try an example.

When someone is playing a computer game, they perceive it as a virtual reality, and in this case, the game itself—its level, quality, course or result—plays no role whatsoever, only the relationship of the player with the game matters as it is the only thing that remains in the memory of the player once the game has finished, whether it is an emotional or intellectual perception.

Likewise, what matters for the Being is its relationship with reality, which, as I have said many times, is only a virtual reality, according to the mentalism theory. From a certain perspective, it could be said that a human is nothing more than its own relationship with the virtual reality. So, if there is a change in a relationship, there will be a change in a part of the Being, in our case, the human as part of the multi-dimensional Being.

Here is a very simple example (very abbreviated, for this purpose). There was a man who was a very decent person. He suffered from constant headaches and no medical examination was able to determine their cause, so he underwent regression therapy suffered the rest of his life as a result. The therapy ended and the headaches became milder, but did not fully disappear, they actually got worse again after some time. So he underwent another regression that took him to the life prior to the one in which he was hit in the head. In this life, he worked as an executioner, and he felt great pleasure, even arousal, from the cruelty with which he cut heads.

When he understood why he had been harmed in the previous life, and radically changed his attitude to the work of executioner, his headaches disappeared permanently.

The question is which the right regression therapy is. Unfortunately, I can only provide a circular definition: the right therapy is the one that results in the right change of the attitude of a being towards a given fact or event, regardless of whether we call it past, present or future.

Assuming that regression therapy works on these principles, I believe that progressive therapy (the transfer of the concentration of consciousness to future lives—memories from the future) could also have therapeutic effects. At least, it seems logical with regards to the model presented herein.

The contradictions of the various -isms

The multi-level truth and the incomprehension of this fundamental principle of understanding the world is one, if not the main, reason behind the apparent contradictions among religions and other -isms.

The problem is that they all are actually true and for that truth they have plenty of evidence, whether scientific, theological or transcendent.

In order to understand the truth of the other, it is very important to asses from which level is that truth being presented.

Special cases are the contradictions in fundamental questions among related religions, for example: In India, suicide is (was) the gravest sin under any circumstances, while in Japan; the gravest sin under some circumstances is (was) not to commit suicide.

Once again, I remark that the following categorisation is necessarily simplifying, that the boundaries between the categories are blurry and obscure, and that there are movements and -isms that move between categories. When categorising the -isms I used their basic orientations and I am aware that this is also problematic.

It is not my intention, however, to fully and precisely put each -ism in the right pigeon-hole, but to draw attention to the reasons behind the apparent contradictions and intransigence among the many schools of thought that try to explain the world.

Most of the world’s great religions, which in their crystal clear forms, undistorted ages and ideologies, use and abuse faith in the highest ideals for the their own purposes, speaking to us from a category included in the second highest level of truth, “Consciousness – The Created World”.

Examples in this level of truth include Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity. This category could also include certain philosophical schools from the distant past and the present (the best example is perhaps Paul Brunton’s model of existence).

Why the highest level “God – Universe” has been left out is a logical question that I will try to answer, though not quite adequately, for some people. There is nothing in this level that could speak to us. Its truth is impossible to communicate and comprehend with reason. It is possible to only see glimpses of it in states of expanded consciousness (regardless of whether they are called enlightenment or hallucinations). And those glimpses also reach the above mentioned religions, illuminating the truth of the second level.

I would include in the third level, “Being – Reincarnation”, Shamanism and the religions of Aboriginal Peoples.

I took the liberty (and maybe a big liberty) to include in the fourth level of truth, “Human – Space and Time”, the institutionalised religions, typically represented by Christianity (especially the Catholic Church) and Islam. This also includes all sects and their “religions”.   Undoubtedly, they also have glimpses of the truth of higher levels, as is the case in all -isms on all the levels of truth, because nothing can fully negate its divine origin.

Naturally, this category also includes all the -isms derived from materialism and their foundations, the Cartesian-Newtonian Paradigm.

Here I would like to remind the parable of the levels of truth from the Introduction. The cylinder appears as a different shape at each level (in this case, the different levels are the number of dimensions) (see Fig. 1).

It is clear from this model that, under normal circumstances, understanding a truth from another level is easier when that level is lower.

It is easier to imagine from a three-dimensional system that, in a two-dimensional universe, the cylinder will appear as a circle or an ellipse.

It is a lot harder to imagine from a two-dimensional universe that the rectangle, circle or ellipse is part of the very same object, or even create an intellectual construction thereof.

It is well known that imagining a four-dimensional object is basically impossible for us, even if mathematics are able to work with such objects.

From this parable, it is clear that even from the same level, truth can manifest differently, resulting in the fundamental contradictions among the -isms of that level, which are greater the lower their level.

In contrast, it is natural that from higher level, the supporters are more tolerant because they are able to understand truths of lower levels.

The lower their level, the simpler and clearer truth appears which is why supporters tend to be more dogmatic and fanatic, causing most great world conflicts.

Our perception of the World is similar. We do not perceive it directly, but we create a model of it with our consciousness, working with it to become aware of the World.

It is important to always keep this in mind, especially when having difficulties to understand different opinions about details of the World. An identical detail placed in a different model will not look the same, even if it is an optical illusion (Fig. 11).

Fig. 11

The arrows pointing in different directions in a) and b) make it look as if the segments were not the same length, although they are.

There are certain laws that apply to all levels of truth that have to be known and defined so they can be applied and observed.  The problem is that the supporters of truths of lower levels refuse to acknowledge, or even admit, the possibility of existence of truths of higher levels. On the other hand, the supporters of truths of higher levels sometimes tend to belittle and downplay the truths of lower levels.

This sometimes results from the reluctance, and perhaps the inability of some theorists of truths of higher levels, to live in this world because their degree of spiritual development does not correspond to the truths they preach.

The main differences, in opinion, derive from the different levels of truth, as well as their irreconcilability supported by the ego of their main creators and advocates, in most cases transforming it in ideologies for the material benefit of a given -ism.

The arguments of the true believers (even if they refer themselves as materialists or sceptics) are very interesting. When asked why they refuse to examine something that is beyond their level of truth, they answer very “logically”: “I won’t examine something that I know doesn’t exist”. Nothing new is under the sun. Human history is full of people who taught their faith as if it was knowledge, only to become the laughing stock of their descendants. Humanity as a whole remains incorrigible.

I believe it is very logical that the lower a given -ism is in its level of truth, the more damage its abuse has caused (and still causes) in the history of mankind, This means not only to the damage evident at first sight like to life, property and the environment, but also to the oppression of certain classes or groups of people, or entire nations or nationalities, or the destruction of cultural heritage.

The new religion must speak in the language of today’s people. There must be a philosophy that will be the foundation for a new concept of science, which will not stand against religion, but will become its partner.

Prophets are actually teachers they have to speak the language of the times and absorb new knowledge. They should not rely only on unchanged doctrines thousands of years old that addressed the people and problems of those times.

All great prophets tried to bring the image of reality closer to the people. But they did it in ways and with words that were comprehensible for them and the culture at the time, as well as the level of education of those peoples, who had a completely different idea of the world and God.

They never established doctrines that were supposed to be unique for everyone, but doctrines for a certain group and period. However, those words, which were addressed to someone totally different and in a different situation, were adopted as foundations for immutable dogmas.

And this is the better cases, where those words were not knowingly or unknowingly distorted or even abused for different purposes, resulting in the meaning of that original message being almost lost to the modern person.

To wrap this question, I feel the obligation to again remark that when assessing the veracity of a claim as a relative aspect of the absolute truth, we must always consider carefully the level of truth from which we are doing the assessment, because, in an extreme simplification, it could be said that in both directions every claim can be true or no claim can be true.

Knowledge and the frequency of vibrations of consciousness

Why are there so many different paradigms (mental models of existence) and why are their authors and adherents so exclusive and intransigent vis-à-vis other paradigms—and their authors and adherents—resulting in conflicts of all kinds, at all levels? Understanding the principles of the origin of the diversity of paradigms is a fundamental thought process allowing—if nothing else—to at least tolerate other paradigms and, thus, to avoid many conflicts.

Perception (meaning sensory and extrasensory) could be described, especially for the purpose of this book, as a certain form of resonance of the subject perceiving with the object perceived.

This implies that the frequency of the vibrations of our consciousness is crucial to the scope of what we perceive, just like our sight and hearing work in certain wavelengths, with their upper and lower limits varying in different people.

The frequency of the vibrations of a given consciousness determines which aspects of God it can perceive, which of them have the appropriate frequency and can therefore resonate with the aware consciousness. We all perceive only some aspects of God. We perceive God, even if many will not call it so and will strongly resist such denomination.

Because there is only one God, which is everything, and everyone, even atheists, perceive one God. But because different people have different frequencies of vibration of consciousness and, thus, a different range of perception, each perceives a different aspect of God depending on that range. This results in many perceiving a different god or a world without a god, even if in fact they perceive only different aspects of that God.

At the same time, each of us also has his or her own god because each perceives that aspect of God they are able to perceive depending on the level of their consciousness (its vibrations). Given the narrowness of our perceptions and the infinite diversity of God, each person perceives only a different set of the aspects of God, which is never the same as the set of the aspects of God perceived by other beings. This is why everyone perceives God at least partially differently from the rest.

From this perspective, it could be said that even atheists and materialist have their own god as they perceive those aspects of God that appear to them as if there was no god.

Atheists believe in what they perceive, in a world that has no supernatural intelligence. Likewise, for example, with Satanists, who believe in their god because, due to the frequency of the vibrations of their consciousness and the range of their perception, they perceive those aspects of God that others call Satan. Many people are truly convinced that god is like that, even if they call him Satan, or Lucifer, because they agreed on that name for this specific aspect of God.

The large majority of people (including both the deeply religious and the hardcore atheists) are also convinced that they perceive the one true god because they are not able to perceive other aspects of God (even by extrasensory perception) due to the range of their perception, and are convinced that no other aspects of God exist. And our western civilisation has tended to declare as non-existent whatever it is not (thus far) able to perceive.

Only few people are able to acknowledge and admit how infinitely God transcends their ability to perceive Him, and they also able to perceive God in a much wider range than those lacking this ability. However, the ability to perceive more broadly the aspects of God cannot be confined only to the perception of higher frequencies. Even in lower frequencies God is infinitely diverse. In their grimly pessimistic view of our world, some people are perhaps unable to imagine that there is something lower (worse) than our Earth, which a profound mistake is arising from ignorance.  For a full understanding of the polarity of the created world, it also important to be able to perceive the aspects of God that corresponds to lower vibration frequencies. To put it simply, it could be said that the wider the range of perception, the better the chances to understand the polarity of the created world. And that is why, in states of expanded consciousness, perceiving lower frequencies of vibrations also contribute to a full understanding of the nature of the world.

Why does it seem that many people perceive the same god? This is because what we perceive (even if each of us can perceive something partially different and there is no way to verify what others perceive) has been unified in a single concept, under which, though, each person may perceive something a little different. For example, everyone may perceive a certain wavelength of light a little or even considerably differently (e.g. the colour-blind with those with normal sight), but everyone calls it, say, blue because they have been told that this range of the wavelength of light is colour blue.

Each human consciousness works in a specific frequency range. When a child comes to the world, its consciousness corresponds to a certain frequency of vibration, which may not, and in fact mostly does not match that of the environment where that child was born and lives.

To a certain extent, the vibration frequency of that child adapts to the frequency of its environment, while at the same time, it is adapted by the pressure of the surrounding vibrations. That is why, at the beginning, a child is able to perceive that which its environment is not. Those perceptions outside the frequency range of the environment are later called fabrications, nonsense, dreams, hallucinations, etc., which eventually convinces the child that what they perceive does not exist, which result in the gradual narrowing of the range of perception.

The large majority of people tend to consider what they are able to perceive (and should be again remarked, both sensory and extrasensory) with their vibration frequency range is the only reality (nothing exists beyond it). Any other perceptions or knowledge outside this range are considered hallucinations, or even the scams of freaks, madmen, fools or swindlers.  This applies specially to scientists and their sceptical offshoots.  To draw an analogy between overall perception and one part of it, i.e. seeing, these people—especially scientists—claim that infrared and ultraviolet radiations do not exist because they cannot see it.

The incapacity to perceive aspects of God beyond the vibration frequency range of a given consciousness does not apply only to higher frequencies but to also lower. This is why many people are not able to understand the mindset, motivations and acts of others—they are not able to perceive the lower frequencies of vibration corresponding to that aspect of God. Those who have reduced God to love have trouble understanding that god is more than love that He is also hate, and that someone may resonate with that part of God.

Those who have reached higher frequencies can better understand the perception of lower frequencies because they remember them from past lives.

It is very hard to explain to people whose consciousness move in a lower frequency range those aspects of God of higher frequencies because they clearly see that reality as they describe it is not such. It is only after they have managed to increase the vibration frequency that they start resonating with the higher aspects of God. The best help in the path to know God is the one that aims to increase the vibration frequency of the consciousness of a given person.

Atheists, materialists and orthodox followers of religions like Christianity, Islam or Judaism (with a personified dogmatic-materialist conception of god) are very close in the vibration frequency range and as a result, they resonate with the same aspect of god, the so-called material world, because both these apparently contradictory groups acknowledge the existence of a material and immaterial world.

This makes it easier to understand how someone in their convictions can be at the same time a sceptical scientist and a Catholic.

Notes

Mentalism explains the effectiveness of many alternative healing methods quite clearly and with no logical flaws. I have once read an article on why healers and physicians should cooperate. According to its interesting analogy, healers of should focus on diagnosing and repairing the software while physicians take care of the hardware, adding that it is pointless to repair the hardware if the software is defective, and that repairing the software will not help if the hardware is damaged. According to the theory of mentalism, there is a slight flaw in this analogy, because everything is only software and the apparent hardware is actually a virtual reality.

Therefore, I am surprised by the evidently blind approach of physician-theorists who claim how important for survival the caloric intake is in relation to the caloric expenditure. Even if I ignored cases of saints like Mother Theresa, for whom a wafer a day was allegedly enough to survive; or the yet to be sufficiently proven reports of a group of people in Australia who have lived without food for half a year, I would still have a fact that has been quite proven. There is a statistically large group of people who, in my opinion, have clearly proven that the caloric expenditure may exceed the caloric intake in the long term. They are the people who for many years worked hard in concentration camps, receiving minimal food, and yet survived. This is in my opinion clear evidence, unchallenged by the usual objection of statistical insignificance due to the low frequency of the phenomenon.

A being that has reached the highest level within the category human is often considered as an enlightened person.

Enlightenment must include intellect, because a higher communion with God without having enriched it corresponds to a lower level of development. Without the intellectual component, without knowledge, a person can be a mystic, a saint, but not enlightened.

Knowledge is mostly acquired in previous lives. Depending on their wisdom (simply put: the use of knowledge for good purposes), it is possible to estimate the level of development of a given human (and not only human) being.

There are many examples of people who reached higher levels of intellect, without having properly developed the spiritual component. Their high intelligence and other abilities (sensitivity, healing, creative) gave them high positions in human societies, which greatly increased their egos, which then led to their abusing these abilities to obtain an even better position (power, money). This slowed down their spiritual development and often also their falling to lower levels of intellect in the following incarnation. The higher a person is, the higher is their responsibility and the deeper and harder they may fall.

It could be compared to climbing a steep cliff without safety ropes. The higher, the closer to the summit you are, the worse the fall will be if you make a mistake. The closer you are to the summit, the steeper the cliff is, and the harder it is to climb it, but on the other hand, you are strengthened by the hope that you will soon reach the summit. The closer you are to the summit, the harder it is to go back, sometimes almost impossible.

There are dangers in the spiritual path. Many people, after having worked on themselves, or even spontaneously, obtain certain abilities that elevate them above the rest, who also make that clear to the “chosen one” with their admiration. Unfortunately, though, this often results in a bigger ego, which in many cases leads to the loss of those powers. There are also many who cannot cope and are forced to pretend their abilities in front of the admirers and supporters, becoming just scammers.
